U RESIN 2023 Wrapped –  We are another year down in the world of Resin! Yet again, so much has changed over the past 12 months as we continue to evolve and grow. This is our (almost) Final blog post for 2023 and will be sharing some of the updates and changes we shared throughout this year – just in case you missed anything!

Website Updates – We had a huuuuuuge number of website changes this year to make your shopping experience seamless and fun! Some of those updates include: Resin Compatibility Chart, Colour Charts, Stockists, Recommendations, Jesmonite Shop, Jesmonite Calculator, Resin Ratio Calculator, Account pages and more!

We also changed the layout of our online Shop, colour coded the pigment ranges and re-arranged the resin kits in numerical order. Not to mention update many product images (which we are still working on)!

Our Workshops section also got an upgrade. We now have an easy to view calendar which displays all upcoming events and workshops for each month. This may also include workshops from our Stockists or Ambassadors.

Our Home Page and Gallery also had a massive makeover to welcome new artworks and a wider variety of projects from our fantastic and loyal customers! When clicking on any of the artwork images, you can also now view which of our products were used along with the social link to the artist.

We added a record 18 Blog Posts this year, with plans to post 2-3 each month from next year! This also goes alongside 1 Youtube video per week for the entire year (except for our Birthday week)!

We also sadly had to make changes to shipping rates, as we received a number of significant price increases and additional fuel levies from AusPost and our other carriers.

In Store Shop – This year we finally sorted out our online POS system to make shopping in store easier and quicker. Each in store customer now has the option to set up an account to track orders and purchases as well as have Tax Invoices automatically emailed. This also gives us the option to view your purchase history so we can see what you previously bought. With this, we also got Zippay and Afterpay cards enabled to our card reader so we can easily accept a wider range of payment options in store – Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Gift Vouchers, Eftpos Card, Visa Gift Card, Zippay & Afterpay.

Our shop also had quite a makeover throughout September with the introduction of a number of products (which we will go into depth next).

Products – As always, we are looking for ways to evolve and grow with the ever expanding creative world! This year we were proud to introduce: Art Tree Glow in the Dark Pigments, Transparent Dyes, Jesmonite AC100 Kits, Jesmonite Accessories, Jesmonite Pigments, over 70 Silicone Moulds, U RESIN Wax, Hand-Made Timber Tables, Camphor Cheeseboards, Starter Kits, Mini Pigment Kits, Coloured Glass, Pressed Flowers, UV Resin, UV Resin Accessories, Smooth-On Silicone and so much more!

However, in order to make room for these MANY new products we also had to say goodbye to a few older products. This year the following products were discontinued: Hexagon Boards, Triangle Boards, Hevea Cheeseboards, Wine Tables, Unprimed MDF Boards, Mini Shells, Art Tree Metallic Pastes, Art Tree 20g Pastes, Yupo Paper, Sculpey Silicone Moulds, and Copic Inks. There are still small quantities of some of these products, so if you do want to grab them, don’t wait! As once they are sold out, that will be it and we will no longer have stock available to buy.

Stockists & Ambassadors – This year we sadly said goodbye to 3 U RESIN Stockists; Rebekah Passmore Art, Martini Fibreglass and Woodgrain Designs, but welcomed J&K Picture Framing and Echuca Frames & Mirrors, both located in Victoria, Paint the Town WA in West Australia and Raven’s Hideaway Farm in CANADA!!

Alongside the changes to Stockists’, we introduced the U RESIN Ambassadors program – Resin The Bar, Inkling Resin Art, Dibbyl’s Dribbles, Illuminartistry, Creations Plus, Moonlight Creations, Boards by Baden, Rebekah Passmore Art, The Barn MR, Blueprint Resin Art, Unique at Vincent, The Resin Project, Echo Beach Art & Woodgrain Designs.

We are so thankful for all the support we have received this year, (and every other year) especially given how tough it has been financially for so many! Without all of our customers, we wouldn’t be able to do what we love every day! 2024 will be another big year for us, with more new shop updates, products, workshops, stockists and resins throughout the year.

We will be taking a 3 week break over the Christmas Season (21st December 2023 to 16th January 2024) to rest and rejuvenate before coming back refreshed and ready for another creative year.  We hope you all have a lovely Christmas Break and have a Happy New Year!
