Welcome to U RESIN 2026
Welcome to U RESIN! Let your 2026 creative journey start here with us ✨
Hello and Welcome or Welcome Back! We are now back in the shop and warehouse for 2026 and ready to kick start another wonderful and creative year with our U RESIN Community. In this blog post we are going to give you a little brief introduction into U RESIN for anyone that is new around here as well as start sharing some of the very exciting things we have coming up in the first few months of this new year.
If you’re new here – we’re so glad you’re here. Let us give you a quick introduction into our team and what we do.
We’re U RESIN — a Perth-based Epoxy Resin Manufacturer and creative supply store passionate about helping beginners learn resin the right way: safely, confidently, and with results you can actually be proud of. Whether you’re here to make coasters, trays, jewellery, statement art, or preserved florals, our goal is simple: Make your creative journey easier — with the right products, clear guidance, and a supportive community. We’re helping you Unleash The Artist Within!
Who we are: (and what we do)
U RESIN is a family-owned and operated business, and has been since 2017 when we first began. Since then we have had the pleasure of being able to expand our team outside of just our family. But at our core we are a: mum, dad, daughter (me) and son team. Our family has been in the Epoxy Resin and Urethanes Industry for well over 30 years now, with a combined knowledge and experience of over 50 years and 3 generations.
We built this business for makers. Unlike many other brands in the Resin Industry, we are manufacturers’ first and artists’ second. We formulate and manufacture our own epoxy resin systems and supply a huge range of art materials to support your projects from start to finish — including:
~Epoxy resin systems for coating and casting projects
~ Jesmonite® (we’re the WA authorised reseller)
~ Smooth-On products (we’re the WA distributor)
~ Silicone moulds, pigments, glitters, inks, tools and accessories
~ Workshops, tutorials, and “how-to” content to help you get consistent results
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting resin advice online – you’re not alone. That’s why our content and product recommendations are designed to be beginner-friendly, practical, and realistic (especially for Aussie conditions like heat, humidity, and the colder winter curing).
What you can expect from our blog in 2026:
Each month we’ll continue posting beginner-focused content covering:
~ How-to guides (step-by-step, no fluff)
~ Project ideas you can actually complete at home
~ Troubleshooting help (bubbles, tacky resin, cloudy pours, cure issues)
~ Updates on new releases, restocks, events, workshops, shipping & closures
~ Spotlight features on Jesmonite® and Smooth-On (especially mould making + prop work)
If you’re just getting started, a great goal for 2026 is this:
✅ learn the basics properly → ✅ build confidence → ✅ create projects you love → ✅ become the “resin person” in your friend group
What’s coming up in the first few months of 2026:
January: A huge shop expansion with so many NEW products being introduced
February: Adelaide visit + workshops with Shattered Shapes
March: Oz Comic-Con Perth + Smooth-On live demos
We will go into more depth about each upcoming event and change in our coming blog posts! Stay tuned for those.
New releases on the horizon (and we’re very excited)
We’ve got some big product developments happening in the background. We aren’t ready to give too much away, but let’s just say that this year will be BIG and full of many great new products.
If you’re new to resin:
If you’re unsure what to buy or how to begin, our best advice is:
1. Choose the right resin for your project (coating vs casting makes a big difference) We have a Resin Compatibility Chart to assist with this process.
2. Learn safe setup basics (PPE + ventilation + clean measuring) Find all our Data sheets and Safety Instructions available.
3. Start with a simple first win (coasters, trays, small moulds) We offer some great Starter Kits that are beginner friendly and offer step-by-step instructions.
4. Save the deep pours and complex projects for later (you’ll get there!) You’ll find resin kits upwards of 300L available on our website.
If you’ve read this far, thank you for being part of our 2026. Whether you’re here to learn, create, or just watch the magic happen – we’re grateful you’ve chosen to follow along. We’ve got a big year planned and we can’t wait to share it with you.
