Availability: In stock
Jarrah Cheeseboard is a beautiful and unique surface for resin art. Jarrah is a dense, durable hardwood that is native to Western Australia. It is known for its rich, deep colour and unique grain patterns, which make each cheeseboard a one-of-a-kind work of art.
Jarrah timber is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage, making it a popular choice for outdoor furniture and construction. When used as a cheeseboard, the natural strength and durability of jarrah ensure that it will provide a long-lasting and reliable surface for food preparation and serving.
These boards are finely sanded and have rounded edges to give a nice resin flow finish over the side. Alternatively, the Jarrah Cheeseboard can be left as is, and coated with our 100% food safe U RESIN Balm to enhance the natural finish of the Jarrah Timber and use as a cutting board or serving board.
The natural beauty and character of jarrah are enhanced when combined with resin art. The resin provides a protective coating that enhances the wood’s natural colours and grain patterns, while also adding a layer of protection against scratches and stains.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, jarrah timber also has several benefits for the environment. Jarrah trees are native to Western Australia and are sustainably harvested, ensuring that the wood is a renewable resource. Furthermore, jarrah timber is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage, which means that it requires less treatment and maintenance than other types of wood.
Please Note: As this is a natural timber the Jarrah finish for each board will vary. (Not all boards will look identical). Whilst the timber has been thoroughly dried, moisture may still be present. Avoid storing in high humidity or damp areas. Keep the board laid flat to avoid any possible bowing or misshape.
