A New Chapter for Our Family

A New Chapter for Our Family and What It Means for U RESIN This November. If you’ve been following U RESIN for a while, you’ll know we’ve always been more than just a business. Over the last 9 years, we’ve shared our milestones with you – from expanding our warehouses, introducing new products, travelling overseas to source ideas, celebrating achievements, and even some of life’s more difficult moments. That’s because U RESIN has always been, a family business.

This November (2026), we’re excited to be sharing another very special milestone with you (probably our most exciting yet!). Our baby girl is due to arrive, and we’re incredibly excited to welcome what we hope will one day become the fourth generation of our family businesses. While we can’t wait to meet her, babies have a habit of arriving on their own schedule, so we’d like to let everyone know what this means for U RESIN over the coming months.

November is notoriously our busiest month of the ENTIRE year, closely followed by December (and for good reason). Between Christmas projects, markets, workshops and our annual Christmas promotions, stockist deadlines and our usual Christmas closures our team is normally working flat out to keep up with demand. Which we always like to plan ahead for.

This year will be quite different. Although my due date is closer to the end of November, there’s every chance our little girl may decide she’d like to make an earlier appearance! As a result, there may be occasions where we need to close the shop at very short notice so we can head to hospital or Doctor and welcome her into the world.

We appreciate that this isn’t ideal timing for many, but we hope you’ll understand that this is one of those rare moments where our family needs to come FIRST.

So, What does this mean for orders?

Our goal is still to continue operating (as close to normal) throughout November and December. However, there may be:

  • Longer processing times for online orders
  • Delays in dispatching parcels
  • Short-notice retail store closures
  • Longer email response times

We’ve already started manufacturing additional stock, re-stocking shelves and organising to prepare as much as possible before November arrives, but there are some things that simply can’t be planned for on our end. If you know you’ll need supplies for Christmas orders, workshops or markets, we’d highly recommend placing your orders earlier than usual. Planning ahead will help both you and our team.

Please WAIT for your collection confirmation:  If you’re placing a Click & Collect order, we kindly ask that you wait until you’ve received your “Ready for Collection” email before coming to the warehouse. There may be periods where we’re unexpectedly unavailable, and we’d hate for you to make the trip only to find your order isn’t quite ready or we have had to close at the last minute.

If in doubt, the best option is to send us a quick Text Message, so we can confirm if we are available and what our operating hours are looking like.

A BIG change to our Christmas Sale!

This is probably one of the hardest announcement we’ve ever had to make. For the very first time in our 9 years, our annual 12 Days of U RESIN Christmas Sale will NOT be going ahead. This sale has become a tradition for both us and many of our wonderful customers, so it certainly wasn’t an easy decision. However, between our busiest time of year and the arrival of our baby girl, I simply won’t be able to give the event the attention and service it deserves and requires.

The good news? We’re not cancelling U RESIN Christmas altogether! Instead, we’ll be holding a smaller Christmas Sale in early December for those who usually wait for our annual promotions. We’ll share the full details closer to the time, with plenty of notice.

And don’t worry… Our 12 Days of U RESIN Christmas will be back next year for it’s 10th anniversary – and we’re already looking forward to making it our biggest one yet!

Information for our Stockists & Wholesalers:

To ensure we’re able to manufacture and supply everyone as efficiently as possible, stockist order cut-off dates will be earlier than normal this year. These dates will be emailed directly to our stockists and wholesalers over the coming weeks. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to place Christmas orders as early as possible.

Workshops & Studio Hire:

During November and December, our workshop studio will be CLOSED. This means there will be: no Private Workshops, no Christmas Workshops and no Studio Hire Bookings. We’ll consider re-opening these in the new year once things have settled down and we’ve returned from our Christmas break. If you are looking for a private workshop or wanting to host a Christmas event, we are more than happy to recommend local artist’s to you, that may be able to take your bookings.

Finally – Thank You!

Running a small family business means that sometimes life and work become beautifully intertwined. This November is one of those moments. We’re incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown our family over the years, and we hope you’ll be just as excited as we are to welcome our newest little team member into the world.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for supporting a truly family-owned Australian business. We can’t wait to introduce you all to the newest (and smallest!) member of the U RESIN family. Here’s to an exciting new chapter for both our family and our business. ❤️

A Personal Note from me:

Again, Thank you for supporting us not just as a business, but as a family unit. Nine years ago at the age of 19, it was just Mum and I. Building this business from scratch. Learning as we went and packing orders the best we could. Over those years – Dad, my Brother, my Husband and our team have joined Mum and I as we’ve continued to grow. Fast forward to today we’re preparing to welcome the next generation, and that’s something incredibly special to us. We can’t wait to introduce our little girl to the wonderful community that has supported us every step of the way.
