Meet the U RESIN Team

Being a small family owned and run business there aren’t many of us around, but we do our very best to stay small but mighty! Today I’m going to introduce you to the main, very special people in my life that I have to thank for helping me with my creative journey, that is now U RESIN.

Shauna – The Yin to my Yang! And very best of all, my Mum. Shauna helps with the everyday housekeeping and accounting! From answering your calls, to helping customers in store, ordering stock, running workshops, helping with accounts work and everything in between! I’d be lost without her and appreciate everything she does with me (in general) but most importantly at U RESIN. We are very different to each other, except when we get called sisters *rolls eyes* but we compliment each other perfectly. If it wasn’t for mum and her keen interest in resin art, U RESIN wouldn’t be around, almost 5 years later. It was certainly a risk to start another business but we are so proud of where we are today and the wonderful customers we have grown to learn about and love!

James – The one you should all love the most! The magic (resin) maker AKA. My Dad! Dad is certainly the brains of U RESIN working alongside our very own in-house Chemist to continually formulate, test and try new products for us to release. At the same time he is very busy blending and manufacturing the wonderful resin systems and pigments you all know and love! James always tries to keep up with our customers and is usually around to assist with technical questions or the importance of Health & Safety when working with epoxy resins.

Chemist (phD) – He is the genius we treasure and also our TOP SECRET! We can’t give away too much, but he is part of the brains behind our formulations and is always tinkering formulations and doing physical property test samples to ensure we are always providing you with the best art and casting products.

Monique – Our busy bee! You’ll find Monique running our Shop and ready to answer any questions you may have. In between serving customers, she is busy packing pigments, stocking shelves and packing all your online orders to make sure they are ready to go as quickly as possible.

Matthew – The Muscle Man and my Brother! Matthew is our newest Team Member which we are most excited about, finally having our whole family apart of our U RESIN Team. Matthew can be found storing stock away, packing resin kits and all the heavy lifting.

We also can’t forget our incredible Resin Kit Packers & Workshop Teachers. Whilst not all full time, each one plays a very important role within our U RESIN Team and we are so fortunate to be able to work with such incredible people that continue to inspire us and help us continue our own learning and creative journey in the world of resin.

Last but not least, Me – I’m Alex, and as most of you already know, U RESIN is my baby. You’ll find me doing almost anything when it comes to U RESIN. From marketing, running our socials, updating the website, packing resin or orders, replying to enquiries, ordering stock, booking deliveries, organising exhibitions or events, editing videos to co-ordinating and running workshops.

Also a very special mention goes out to my Grandparents. Without them cooking us meals, doing resin samples, setting up for exhibitions, finding new suppliers when we need it or just promoting U RESIN wherever they can, we wouldn’t be where we are today. I’m very thankful to have my entire family involved and supporting one way or another.
